Oracle Database Administrator

Job Duties: Responsible for requirements gathering from Business Owners and design, development, deployment and administration of database systems in a Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and OLAP environment on UNIX and Windows. He performs Data analysis, Data Modeling (Physical and Logical) ,data migration and database design. He performs capacity planning and space management. He performs sizing of tables and indexes on multi-terabyte databases. He evaluates, sets up and configures high availability options such as RAC, Data Guard and Replication. He sets up Backup and Recovery strategies and procedures. He manages Database, OS and HW Migrations and Upgrades. He performs Load/Trend analysis. He manages all 3rd party tools and packages integration. He improves and resolves performance related issues including Database and application tuning. He works on Storage systems and OLAP Design. He ensures security, reliability, availability and scalability. He manages production support and related issues. He works on Unicenter, Erwin data modeling, Oracle ,EDW, OLAP, OEM DBA Tools, OCFS/RA, ETL, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts on UNIX and windows. Will work in Rocky Hill, CT and/or various unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.
